- Please use for discussion, and reserve this for track listings
Here's a step by step guide on using custom music in the module.
1) Find a suitable track (nothing illegal of course). 2) Convert it to CBR (constant bit rate) .mp3 format. You can generally use a program like for that. 3) Convert it to .bmu format using a program like 4) There are two approaches at this point, being the lazy one and the proper one. It depends on how much preparation time you have. 4a) Rename the file to kymlun#.bmu where # is a number from 1 to 25 4b) Rename the file to something more descriptive 5) Find a host for the files and upload them (such as ). 6) Post a link to the file in this thread and tell us what it should be called, what it's for, what it's like, anything you want to share about it. 7) Get your players to download the music track to their NWN/music folder 8a) Make a cup of tea. 8b) Wait for someone to update the ambientmusic.2da in the server's Override folder, and in the link to follow below. 9) Make sure your players have the latest ambientmusic.2da in their override folder. If not, tell them to download it. 10) You can then use the song in-game by changing the running track's number through the voice commands.
You can find the latest Right-click Save Link As to download the thing whole, or follow the link and copy/paste to merge it with anything custom you're already using.
Note that tracks kymlun1 through kymlun25 are not reserved for any specific songs. They're there to let you use a track without having to update the server or the listing above (it does still need downloading on the player end) but can be overwritten by any other DM (so players who did update the track hear one thing and those who didn't hear another). Please try to give tracks a proper place on the list whenever possible to avoid confusion.
As a final note to players, you do not need to download every single .bmu file to your music folder if you choose not to. Follow your DM's instructions on the tracks which will likely be used in their events and just download those for most enjoyment.

We have some tracks for today's wedding event bundled together in .rar format. Use WinRAR or a similar program to extract these to your music folder and make sure you have the right ambientmusic.2da file in your override folder (#301-325 should be called Kymlun1-25). There are 9 files in the rar, with a total size of 39.2 mb.

The files in the .rar above have been updated for this Saturday. Two of the music tracks (kymlun4 and 6) were removed and four new ones added (kymlun8-11).
