Wisps are fey by race but they are energy signature manifestations from the trees
when a tree grows old enough near Pure Water and in Pure Soil it awakenes to have its own consciousness
soon its own magic
some of them spawn a dryad, the rest will be accumulating the magical power, agumenting the area's sylvan magic
each tree spawns a wisp of its own to be a perceptor and caretaker
they're semi-intelligent meaning they can distinguish between positive and negative emotions, can sense hostility and can act on their own will but they are fueled by the purpose of upholding the magical economy
nah I mean what they are not what they look like
they cater to the very tree and the soil around it since the tree cannot move
when many trees become a commune it's called a sylvan forest
dryads and wisps work together in bettering the place even more, often dig trenches to create more Purified Ponds that spawn more Sylvan Energy
Ponds spawn Nymphs and Fauns (satyr)
Nymphs are casters, they can carve Runestones that agument the protection, and fauns are the martial defence
When the tree is old enough it can be a Carved Tree , it gains a totemic face
with time seven runes are carved around the face , it's called a Runic Tree , it doesn't spawn a wisp anymore but it has its own consciousness, memory, 40 innate wisdom and it can move its vines and branches.
When a Runic Tree grows old enough it'll become an Ancient of Forest or Ent
it can uproot
but it needs to return to a Sylvan Forest to recharge or it will "drown" in lack of root soil
it cannot downroot just anywhere
but it can carve runes on trees and even create Runestones
so all you need is a dryad a nymph and an ent to create another sylvan region in a forest.
What the druids do is guard the very old trees so they may spawn a dryad or a wisp
Always near a source of water or a pond. (Springs are best for their autonomy)
An Ent will reach its final age around 500-550 thousand years if it lives to see that age, it will downroot and spawn wisdom modifier times wisps
it will then become a Tree of Ages
Tree of Ages spawns all types of sylvan creatures in its womb
It's also usually an oak so its acorns spread around it , spawning young trees
that will immediately be made into Carved Trees which spawn a Spirit Crown, basically ethereal leaves
these leaves increase the sylvan magic of the area so radically that any tree older than ten years will immediately spawn a wisp or a dryad
the Tree of Ages usually roots unto a spring
it will accelerate moisture so radically that the very air will become Purified Mist
which spawns greater dryad and greater faun
these will carve the Tree of Ages into a Tree of Eternal Life
Beraskahan has one of these.
These trees have a face, consciousness, innate 62 wisdom and at least 20 intelligence
They spawn and manufacture every possible form of sylvan energy and creature
These trees don't age or die but they can be destroyed and are very vulnerable
by then they're usually surrounded by at least three more Trees of Ages
which spawn more Carved Trees
by this time the area is moist, misty, rich green grass fills it, healthy fruit grows in insane size and the air is so fresh you can bite it
Beraskahan is like that
That's when Fauns and Nymphs start to create real fey creatures
(they make love all day in this environment)
in two generations which is exactly 12000 years, a fey colony will be present.
seelie fey acknowledge no violence unless attacked
unseelie fey are more human-like and form militial power
Like the Ghazakiin. They're a tad different though because it was actually the Ghazakiin council that aged that tree to its final shape in a record time of a mere 20 000 years
Ghazakiin are the ancient roots to all elves and fey
so they spawn without the environmental stuff but their generations don't pass until at least 500 000 years
A ghazakiin female rarely gives birth to more than a single offspring, usually at an elder age
Generational gaps and differences keep the society sane and clean of actual inner issues
the parents are too old and wise to fuck up raising their kids
This however leads to a lack of emotional turmoil in ghazakiin society
no conflict really
other than between children
For a human a ghazakiin parent's a child's connection is very weird to look at.
The parent seemingly doesn't give a damn what the kid does.
but they still embrace eachother with love every dozens of years they meet
the kids stick together and an elder youngster teaches them called a Ba'hauri or Watching Elder
usually 500 years older which means they barely mature when they get a flock of kids to look after.
A Ba'hauri often massacres its students if they misbehave. It usually only takes one slaying per child for them to learn their lesson.
Then an elder priest comes, usually a parent, raises the children and they are disallowed to move from their seated position, eat or talk for the next five months.
Some children never need to be disciplined
they become Chosen

They are deprived of every possible way of being a child, they must not talk to younger creatures or one another until they mature.
They can only converse with elders, preferably grandparents.
they will learn faster that way, but they will be very distant cold and emotionless
