Running Nvidia GF 8400 GS on Windows 7 and for some reason the latest drivers are making literally everything crash. No idea why. if anyone has the previous drivers, as unlikely as it seems, or can be arsed to find them for me, that'd be great :D

Cheers.

I used a 8500 and it ran different but I thought it was because of 32bit, upgraded to 64bit and using a 9800 and runs like a champ. None of those older drivers helped me at all.

Did you just update to 7 recently?

I've had 7 forever. And it turns out that it's a card issue, not a driver issue. I've tried the one I had previously, the new one, and the 810 beta version, none work. so I need a new card I think. It'll run windows 7 and like, internet apps' fine, but no games will work. Given that my laptop can run NWN that suggests to me that it's on da fritz.

I have a spare card which hopefully I can dig out and plug in and hopefully come to some conclusion.

Have you dusted out your computer? A dusty computer plus summer temperatures could be causing it to overheat. Overheating often causes demanding programs to crash

It was fried =) and yes, I dust regularly, monthly if not sooner. I got a new one now though so all is well.
