Not multiples of newbs, I suppose. But it is my fourth day here and I've already died once to one!

Fairly irritating, and that is what this forum is for, yes?

You were stood in a maelstrom of storm, with lightning bolts, earthquakes and so on, the Wizards warned of the threats of closing a gate like that, and there was ample time to run, not to mention I gave tammy a free resurection item to get you back up without XP loss.

It's too bad you got caught, but it was fixed in a more IC means than me raising and going 'ops'. Next time, if things look bad, chances are they are bad and you should run aweh from pinacle points XD That you got hellballed was an accident more than anything. You were just a touch too close; the radius is huge, i wasn't expecting it to hit anyone but the wizards.

Anyway! It was fixed =3 Sorry bout that. In truth that huge tree hides everyone from me. If I'd seen you i'd have immortalised you. Hope there's no hard feelings

While I figured it probably was an accident, it doesn't change the fact that it did still bother me. Rather than just point it out or get all grudge-like about it, I thought it would be better of me to bring it out here, and.. it wasn't just that it happened, either.

My problem with it is more over the fact that while I was given ample time to run from an OOC standpoint, from an IC standpoint.. well, I'm playing a skittish character that probably won't ever go near Solinar any time soon, considering how the rate of insanity escalates. And that kinda sucks, to be entirely frank. It's not your fault my character is like that, it's my fault, but to do anything but play my character to the tee just isn't right to me, either.

And at the end of the day, my lowbie character along with my fairly unexperienced exposure still got to witness a hellball pretty early on in my 'career' here. As a result, it has to be telling and reflect later in my RP, otherwise I'd be pretty hypocritical if I just ignored certain things happening. I want everything to count, you know?

And, truthfully, that is all.

that's a fair point. At the moment in kymlun a lot of weird things are happening all over the world as a result of hells 'hellrazor' going missing. It means that there are ghosts patrolling at night time, and devils and demons appearing wherever, so no matter where she goes at present she will likely encounter something a little but 'out of the ordinary'. I'd suggest trying to find a way to stick to Solinar, however, perhaps talk to a character that can reassure her, a high level priest, or a charismatic sorcerer, or just a warrior that can protect her from the weird stuff. It is a passing phase, soon, the explosions will stop from an IC standpoint, and the ghosts will stop haunting too. Again, sorry to get you off on a wrong foot. We'll make up for it! :)

Thank you for being understanding, it's a huge relief and I'm glad to see it (for a change, considering my experience on other servers.) I wasn't interested in starting a fight over this, just wanted to draw attention to it.

I'm glad to hear things are shifting (whether for bad or good, I love it when PW take advantage of the dynamic standpoint that they should be capitalizing on), and I wouldn't be surprised if people try to bring Emma back into the fold again eventually. She's just 3/3 for bad/weird stuff happening, so.. yeah. Distance is a necessity, logically.

I feel your pain, it's frustrating when a lowbie enters a high powered area and witnesses the most powerful things as soon as he is out of diapers.

My character Kincaid has witnessed gods far far to early in his career for my liking.

In my opinion, tho ONLY way to avoid this from happening is, for there to be an area set as a safe zone for lowbies to hang out and rp in, where only small time events occur for them and high level characters to stay out when it comes to events.

This separates a little bit, but if enough high powered events occur as equal to low level ones and also free for all events where anyone is welcome, I don't think people could complain all that much. It might encourage players with super high pc's to make a new one and play with with the lowbies and enter those small events too.

I'm afraid I don't really agree with creating segregated zones for low and high levels, if only because it doesn't seem realistic.

The only thing I'm truly concerned with is that some consideration is made when it comes to lower levels being present. Rping commonly is one thing, but constantly being made out to be a burden is an entirely different issue.

I haven't had that problem here, so far, but this incident made me concerned for that being possible.

So many words for such a little thing.

1. Vince was staying IC when he applied the danger factor hoping that your character would flee asap.
2. Your character got frozen in fear from the maelstrom of fearsomeness. So she couldn't run.
3. She got resurrected and is now recovering. It is safe to assume that she got found by one of her more powerful friends and they took her back to the room to recover.

We'll take it from there when you get back.
