Alright so I promised and here it is!
Kymlun has always been one of the high standard servers. However, that requires me to be here 24/7 which is obviously no longer possible. I have given the DM team the time to try and manage it themselves.
However seeing as it has been two months and I see no change in the amount people on at average, I will change things as follows.
- XP gain and loss is going to be tweaked. I'll talk to Vince and Lore and ponder our possibilities so that people who enjoy role play more, can level just as quickly as those who grind, while those of you who enjoy going out and killing things will still feel fulfilled.
The idea is that the automatic XP system will be altered based on howmany monsters you killed, how old your character file is, and a score of other circumstances that we will not discuss publically but you will witness in good time.
- The Death rules will be adjusted to the XP gain. This also means your faith tokens will soon be worth more... they each worth 1 rp tokens currently, by the way!
- DM involvement will be the spice and not the meal itself. It's needed, it's liked, but I want to see people on even when there is no dm logged on.
So leveling up is no longer frowned upon and we'll work things out so that Kymlun attracts the right kind of crowd.
Might not go fast but it will be slow!
