It is said that the true strength of a man is not measured in times of stability, but, in times of crisis.

Lythil Telenas was not one to stand out, in any way, early in his life. From his childhood, he always held a calm and quiet demeanor about himself. Well, at least, most of the time. Through that, though, Lythil did tend to keep to himself. Tryly, it was not to say he was something of antisocial, though, Most would be quick to point out the elf had a hard time approaching people.

Perhaps that is to say, why he did not get out much. His family, both devout of Eneil, lived an almost idyllic life for a time, and as such, Lythil received a fair education, be it mostly through books, and not at all through experience. the one thing Lythil was known for, however, was his tendencies to be closer to alone in the woodlands, preferring quiet enough among the trees, and the residents within.

It was perhaps that, that the words of forest mother struck him much more than the warfather's. In time, he began to visit the druids in Elmensfaar, wishing to learn more of their ways. It met with varying degrees of acceptance and worry with his family - an acceptable following, to be sure, yet, one that would likely place their son in danger, should he become one of the natural defenders. They might've been glad for their son, but, they did shade toerwards overprotection - hence, his limited knowledge outside the world from the forests.

Of course, had the idyllic life held true, he'd never have thought about leaving.

Now, mind you, demons, undead, and the like - those were all well known, and travellers did take it upon themselves to protect themselves upon travels upon the road. Even then, when that fateful strike came upon a merchant caravan, one that Lythil's family had been guarding, it was neither undead nor demons that plotted the strike that had killed all eight elves on that trip.

To their son of little more than one hundred and twenty years, still behind at home, it was more than a shock.

He tried for a while, of course, to fill in the void in the community left by his family's passing - the druids cautioned him, for he still lived with them, that vengenance would not make things any better, and likely, the bandits who struck that day would be hunted down in all due time, anyways, lessons he didnt' completely understand, but took to heart. In time, he even became faithful, the markings of the forest mother beginning to be present on him.

For a time, they all lived fairly peacefully once again. Lythil didn't go out much, aside from learning from the druids - they all knew this as well, and as his one hundred and eightieth burthday approached, they asked him one thing.

They asked him to leave. Not because of anything he'd done, but because there was things he should learn, and things he might do. he resisted, at first, but, deep down, knew, he'd wanted it, perhaps all along. They hoped, and sae, he perhaps exhibited potential. A strong mind, and will, with what he'd been through, though, however unforged as it was.

It was no surprised to them, that he finally acquiesed, and with the matriarch's blessing, set out torwards the place known as Solinar. What he achieved from there, not a one of them would know until he returned, if he would even do so.
