I need assistance with getting nwn to work with Vista.

1. i dl'd Cep 2.1 full and it asks me if i want to install it, I click yes, and nothing seems to happen.

2. I can't seem to get past a fire wall or something as even when I log into the game without the cep install, it won't show any servers.

3. I copied my short cut path to auto log into kymlun when I use the nwn short cut icon, but it fails to do anything.

4. I have to let nwn fully load past all the beginning cinimatic crap, until the guy is walking around ready to fight the minotaur before I can cancel it and log in truely, or else the game crashes if I cancel it before then.

Can anyone help me?

Did you run in XP mode for install? And try running window mode. My game works fine but suddenly doesn't like full screen.

And I'm normally on msn for other more real time questions.

You can run the Setup.exe under xp mode, that is what I meant. It could be settings. I loaded a new nwn up on my computer and it didn't work. I loaded one of the .ini files from old game and it worked. I don't know what you'd need to change. I know some people said before nwn doesn't like systems with more then 1 core.

I'm going to try something completely different, that I think might work, if it doesn't I'm going to make a video and youtube it to show you all what is going on and how I have my settings etc.

Looks like all I needed to do was go into user control options and disable that option that makes it so I have to allow everything I do. :) I should be able to log in soon after I finish getting all the haks.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.

Sweet! See you in the morning. I have to run NWN under administrative mode to get Vista to work it. It's a bit annoying, but it works.
