The poor man sat on the roof. Tidal waves crashing against his little wooden cottage, he had been warned that the dams would last no longer, but he had faith. "I shall wait for the Lord to send help" he told the evacuees the day before. The poor man sat on the roof of his now crumbling wooden cottage. All he held dear lost against the tide and he would never despair but wait for hours upon hours. At the crack of dawn a boat came by with a ferryman and he said:"Come on man, get in the boat, the tide is rising" But the poor man would shake his head, saying that he'd wait for the Lord to send help. The poor man sat on the roof towards midday, watching the ferryman carry the remaining goods and animals out of the tide ridden area, but when he'd asked if he'd come along, the poor man replied. "I will wait for the Lord to send help." Towards sundown the cottage collapsed. Drowning in his own home's ruins, the poor man woke up by the Shining Gates. The Lord spoke to him. "Ah there you are. What took you?" "I do not understand Lord" The poor man implied "I awaited your help..." "What you dumbshit I sent the boat three times!"

A crow was sitting up in a tree's lofty boughs. It was happily enjoying the day, basking in the sun. A squirrel scampered up to the tree and looked up. It saw the crow and asked, "What are you doing?" The crow responded merrily, "I am enjoying the day, sitting here." "May I sit here too?" The squirrel asked the crow. "Of course you can sit there." Content with the answer, the squirrel approached the base of the tree and sat down. Out from nowhere, a fox pounced on the squirrel and ate it! The moral of this story is that if you want to sit around all day and do nothing, you have to be high up.

(It's been over twenty years since I heard this one, so...it might be a bit off)
The rabbit hopping along the snowy fields was freezing, just when he encountered a huge cow. The cow looked down with pity and asked if the rabbit wanted to be warmed. Of course the rabbit replied he'd seriously enjoy a bit of warmth, so the cow shitted all over him. It wasn't long before a fox came along and spotted the shit-covered rabbit and asked if the rabbit liked to be shit-smelling all day. The rabbit saw the truth in that and the fox offered to free him from the large shit-pile.......which he did and then ate the rabbit.
Morale? Not everyone that shits on you means bad, not everyone that helps you out of the shit means good.
